BLR sits at Devanahalli, well north of the city centre. • Arriving early in the morning often means lighter roads into the southern and eastern suburbs.
• Check which terminal your airline uses before you fly, because the airport has more than one and operations have shifted in recent years.

Plenty of Sydney travellers use Bengaluru as the arrival point for a wider trip through Karnataka. Mysuru is a common road trip of around three to four hours, and Coorg (Kodagu) is popular for a few quiet days in the hills.
